It has been a busy week with checking in to see what you have been up to on Dojo, please do sign up if you haven't already done so, going for walks and baking! Hope you are keeping busy too.
The suggested activities on Dojo this week have been: Can you look in a mirror and draw yourself? Can you add colour? Can you get 10 of your toys and order them from smallest to biggest? How else could you order them? Using dried pasta, rice or even dry sand, what ever you can find. Place in a pot (used, washed, yoghurt pot). Cover with cling film, paper or silver foil. Secure with an elastic band or string. Now make some music! After the success of the 'self portraits,' perhaps you can have a go at drawing or painting all the people in your family. Have fun! Take part if you can and let us know via Dojo. Have fun! I hope that you are all well and enjoying this beautiful weather! It is a strange time with all of you at home, but the perfect time to do activities you do not always have time for. I have been planting seeds and growing flowers to enjoy in the Summer. Hopefully when we get back to Nursery we will be able to plant them in our Nursery garden. Parents - You should all have received a link for Dojo now. This may eventually take over from this blog during the Lock-down. Dojo is a little like Tapestry, as you can share pictures with us and also see activities you may like to try with your little ones at home. The sort of activities we are suggesting are: draw around the shadow of an object onto a piece of paper, find as many square shapes around your house, checking they have 4 corners and 4 sides.
If you are unable, or do not wish to sign up with Dojo, there are lots of ideas on the Activities Page on the school website. Also on the website Mr Fykin introduces us to some new dance moves, not to be missed! Story telling videos and much more. Have fun and fingers crossed we will all be back at Nursery soon. We hope you had a lovely Easter and have been enjoying the lovely weather. It's been lovely to continue to see what some of you have been up to. It looks like lots of you have been making the most of the sunshine and have been practicing riding your bikes and bouncing on your trampolines! Some of you have been engaging in imaginative role play which is fabulous to see and some of you have been practicing writing your names.
With the sun still shining why not try some of these ideas to keep you busy and entertained whilst learning: If you have any chalks why not practice writing your names, letters and numbers on the fence or patio. Can you collect different leaves and tell a grown up what's similar and what's different about the leaves? Why not go on a mini beast hunt?! Can you find a lady bird, ant, spider, snail or butterfly? We hope you enjoy the warm weather and look forward to seeing what you have been up to! |
