This week we focused on the nursery rhyme 5 Currant Buns. We had lots of fun singing the song, working out if all the numbered buns were in the right order and checking we had the money to pay for the buns. We also make currant buns during the week, which we took home to enjoy with our family. In the Secret Garden with Mrs Cook we made buns with grass and leaves. See the pictures below. We also continued to use the shoe shop in our role play area, which everyone has enjoyed, though we have sometimes got our shoes the wrong way round when putting them back on! During the end of the week we handed out small packs with activities for you to do at home, if you wished. If you were not in we will endeavor to get these to you, if you live locally.
Keep an eye on the blog, hopefully over the next few weeks we will be able to post some more ideas for you to keep your little ones entertained! Finally, the Nursery Team just want to say a big thank you for all your support during this very unsettling time. This is an incredibly difficult time and the uncertainty can put pressure on families. Please look after yourselves and your family, they are your first priority. We hope to see you all soon. Have a Happy Easter. The Nursery Team
