This week we started our Nursery Rhymes topic. Our first rhyme was Incy Wincy Spider. We made spiders and their webs in the Secret Garden on Monday with Mrs Cook. Then all week we have been learning spider facts and taking part in spider activities. We made spider hand print puppets with Miss Hutchings, some of our spiders had 8 eyes, which we learnt they can have! We searched for insects in the sand, made spiders in play dough, made webs with bands and Geo boards, acted out the rhyme and listened to different versions of the song! We also had World Book Day on Thursday! We had a real treat, as the children from year 6 came and read our favourite stories to us. Here are some pictures of what we have been up. World Book DayNext week our rhyme is I am a Little Teapot. Our sound of the week is ‘v’ and the shape is triangle.
