On Monday we learnt all about texture. We look at several different materials in the classroom and then in the secret garden. The children were given a piece of clay to create an imprint of some texture from the garden, either using a leaf or the bark of a tree. We used lots of vocabulary to explain the textures we saw and felt, such as squidgy, smooth, rough, prickly and spiky.
The rest of the week we looked at the Gingerbread man, we acted out the story and made Gingerbread men out of play dough. We continue to practice our Christmas songs which the children are becoming far more confident with so thank you if you are practicing at home too, please continue to do so.
