This week the book we read was The Little Red Hen. We read the story and acted it out, we discussed where our food comes from, what Harvest time is and looked at wheat and corn. On Wednesday we made popcorn, which we all thought was very funny, especially when it kept popping out of the cooker! On Thursday we made bread, just like The Little Red Hen. It smelt delicious and everyone who walked passed the class asked if they could have some! On Friday we turned the soft bread into crunchy toast, which we buttered ourselves.
