The Last 2 days of Nursery

20/7/2019

It is hard to believe that there are only 2 days left of Nursery before the Summer holidays and most of the children leave us to start a new adventure in Reception. Where has the time gone?
It has been a great year and to celebrate we are having an end of year party on Tuesday. Please send your child in dressed in their “party” clothes, nothing too special, as we will be going outside (don’t forget hats and apply sun lotion).
It’s also time to take PE kits home and wellies, don’t forget any belongings on the last day.
On behalf of all the Nursery staff a big thank you for all your support this year and we hope you have a great Summer.

'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch'

6/7/2019

''This week we have read the 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch.' This is a story about a lighthouse keeper called Mr. Grinling. At night time he lives in a small white cottage perched high on the cliffs, and in the daytime he rows out to his lighthouse to clean and polish the light. Every day Mr Grinling tucks into a delicious lunch, prepared by his wife, Mrs Grinling. But Mr Grinling isn't the only one who enjoys the tasty food, so Mrs Grinling has to think of a way to stop the greedy seagulls from stealing the lighthouse keeper's lunch. I'm sure your children will be able to tell you what ingenious idea Mrs Grinling comes up with!

This weeks activities were centred around this week's book. In the secret garden the children had to find different food and drink items and decide if they were healthy or unhealthy.

We also made sandwiches and continued to work on our number knowledge, writing and phonics.

Wow what a busy week!

5/7/2019

It certainly has been a very busy week. Two very successful trips to Woodbridge by train, as well as the usual things we get up to in the Nursery. Thanks to all those who came on the trips, they were a great success. Have a restful weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

The Woodbridge Trip

1/7/2019

This week we have the Woodbridge trip on Tuesday and Friday. Please meet at the main Ipswich train station (on the appropriate day) at 10.00 am, the train leaves around 10.15. Nursery will be closed on these days.
