This week I set up an Autumn tray, this is part of the theme that runs along side our 'People Who Help Us' topic. The children have been fascinated by the pumpkin in there. So we had a discussion about where pumpkins come from and there were some interesting answers, including I had made it from orange playdough! We needed to find out where they came from. Luckily Miss Hutchings has been growing pumpkins as part of her gardening club, so we went for a walk. Guess what! We found an enormous one and soon spotted tiny ones too. We all decided pumpkins grow on plants outside. Whilst on our walk we also saw gigantic spiders webs and huge spiders spinning their silky webs, we counted 12 hairy creatures and talked a lot about sizes. It was quite an adventure!
Why not go on an adventure too and find something interesting to look at. Have fun! Comments are closed.
