What the Ladybird Heard - Part 2 - Story Stones
In school yesterday, we shared the book, What the Ladybird Heard', by Julia Donaldson, we then looked at Ladybirds in fact books and on the computer. We talked about, shape, size and colour and found out some Ladybird facts. We then painted our own Ladybird Story Stones. We found round/oval stones outside and then used them to make our Ladybird. First we painted the body red, then added black spots, a face and googly eyes. We then took our ladybirds story stones outside and even found some real ladybirds in the Secret Garden at school!! Perhaps you could try making your own story stones, by painting rocks and pebbles with your favourite book characters. Have fun!
