It's been such a busy week this week! There's certainly been a lot going on...
In Literacy the children have had a wonderful time learning from The Gruffalo; they have become expert story tellers and have written some super adjectives to describe The Gruffalo. The children have also visited The Secret Garden where they gathered natural materials to produce a large collage.
On Monday the children had lots of fun learning about teeth and how to look after them. This was supported by a visit from the dentist who spent a lot of time with the children showing them what they needed to do to have healthy teeth.
On Thursday's Modern Foreign Language Day, the children looked amazing in their black, red and yellow clothes to symbolise the German flag. During the day the children learnt some German greetings, listened to German music and practiced counting to 10. They also tasted some German food, where it was clear that the bread wasn't as popular as the biscuits! They also decorated gingerbread men, as gingerbread is very popular in Germany.
Congratulations to all those children that received a 'well done' in the assembly and if they celebrated a birthday.
Next week for 'Show and Tell', the children are being asked to bring in something that they would take on a bear hunt e.g. a map, binoculars or a magnifying glass for finding clues. The children can use their imaginations, but should be able to explain their choices.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
