This week we are reading the story, 'The Rainbow Fish'. It is about a fish who has lots of sparkly scales but he does not share them so he has no friends. After some advice from a wise octopus the Rainbow fish shares his sparkly scales and it makes him feel really good about himself and all the fish want to be his friend. The children realised that this is like them sharing toys, if they share, they can have much more fun playing with their friends. In the secret garden we looked for different coloured fish and had a go at counting how many scales each had. The children then had a go at writing this number done on their sheets. We then made fish out of twigs and used leaves for the scales. As you can see from the pictures, the children did really well with this task. Please can the children have their PE kit on both Thursday and Friday of this week as it will depend on the weather when we practice for sports day. Thank you.
