![]() This week we have continued with our 'into the woods' theme and have been reading and learning from the lovely book Where's my Teddy? In literacy the children have been using positional language to describe where the teddy is located and in numeracy the children have been producing repeating patterns using different sized and coloured bears. In the celebration assembly this week, we celebrated our first successes of the year, but in truth the children are all doing brilliantly and are continuing to adapt well to whole days in school and are quickly picking up the school rules and routines; although changing for P.E. is still proving quite a challenge! Next week promises to be as action-packed and on Monday they will have a special visitor in school; but we will share this with them next week so we don't spoil the surprise! Next Thursday is also the school's Modern Foreign Language Day, where each year group will be learning about a different country. In Reception, the children will be finding out about Germany. In addition, they are welcome to come to school in the colours of the German flag (black, red and yellow), but please don't feel under any obligation to buy a special outfit for the day. For Show and Tell next Tuesday, we are asking the children to bring in something that they might find in the woods. Wishing you all a relaxing and sun-filled weekend!
