Ahh bless Mrs Steward... just 3 hours sleep last night for her! The joys of being a trip leader. Still three hours are better that nothing. When leading my first residential in Southampton (yes... Southampton!) I literally didnt sleep for the first two nights, laying awake seeing if i can hear anything. So three hours isnt bad.
Hopefully tonight after a super busy day... the children put their head on the pillows and zzz zz z zzzz z. Do I miss leading residential trips? Hmmm... let me think - tucked up in my cosy bed last night... nope afraid not! The joys of being the boss! I totally appreciate my dedicated staff though... this experience is super valuable for the children and something that we hope to continue for years to come.
I have been informed that Mr Smith is right as rain; he slept straight through. Perhaps we'll see him in a photograph today? Perhaps with the skipping rope! Mrs Harries and Miss Clarke had a reasonable night. They are all missing their John Lewis premium quilt covers and memory foam pillows : )
Some of the children were early risers... a wonderful 5am for some and some literally have just rolled out of bed in the last few minutes. Place your bets... which was your child?
The perfectly : ) made beds yesterday are now no more...
Most are bright eyed and bushy tailed. Some are sat at the breakfast table with their eyes closed! : ) Some of the girls are frantically trying to comb their hair as its all gone a little wild and the boys are asking 'When's lunch?'
They are all now having a scrumptious breakfast and all excited about what is to come today. Gloves on. Scarves on. Extra weight needed in those wellies... its going to be windy!
Here's to another day!
