The admissions process is different if your child is joining us at the beginning of reception. Please read the information carefully below to check you are completing the correct forms...
Applying for a Reception space for September 2025
Online Applications
We highly recommend completing the Suffolk County Council online form for applications.
To complete an online application please visit the Suffolk County Council website. Applications for September 2025 open from 12th September 2024.
Most parents in Suffolk apply for a school place online.
When applying online you:
- will receive confirmation of your application by email
- can check or change your application right up to the closing date
- can view the outcome of your application online on the offer day
- will receive an email with details of your school offer on the offer day
Paper Applications
If you are unable to apply online, you can request a paper copy from the school OR download from the Suffolk County Council website.

If you are unsuccessful in securing a place here at Rushmere Hall your decline letter will explain the appeals process and timetable. This link will take you to the Local Authority site. The Local Authority manage appeals for this school.

Prospective Parent Visits
Here at Rushmere Hall we are able to arrange tours for prospective parents. The tours are a chance to see if your child would benefit from what Rushmere Hall has to offer... and a chance for us to explain what we can offer.
Prospective parent tours for Reception 2025 took place during our Reception Open week in early November.
There is an expectation that Parents will visit the school before making an application.
Tours are led by either our Head teacher, Deputy Head teachers or Phase Leaders.

From September 2024, Rushmere Hall will officially have a two form intake. The consultation concluded for this in December 2022 and approved by the Eko Trust Board in January 2023. This admissions policy was published on this site in January 2023.
